Assumption visits Tita Cory
Assumption San Lorenzo President, Sr. Gertrude Borres,ra
says farewell to Tita Cory as a student waits for her turn.
|
Assumption College is one with the nation in mourning the loss
of our beloved President Corazon Cojuangco Aquino.
President Cory was truly a woman of faith and action who
peacefully and actively worked for democracy.
She was a beacon of hope, an icon of moral leadership and a pillar
of strength in facing the challenges of nation building.
Never counting the cost, she embodied joyful detachment, fidelity
to duty and love of simplicity in the gift of self to the nation.
May her life and legacy remain an inspiration for us and future
generations.

Born years after the People Power Revolution, Assumption
students
got a chance to flash the 'Laban' sign as the
crowd spontaneously did
so when 'Bayan Ko' was being
sung at the end of today's (Aug. 2)
noontime Mass.
Fr. Catalino Arevalo, SJ explained that the song was the
ringtone on Tita Cory's phone.
