Assumption College invites female high school seniors to join
myAC: Assumption College Open House 2009 on Saturday, September 26,
2009 from 7:30AM to 2:00PM. The Assumption College Open House is an
annual event where potential Assumptionists get a chance to explore
what it would be like to study in the country’s premier college for
women. The event features a free entrance exam with results released on
the same day. As they wait for the exam results, the potential
Assumptionists will be treated to a free concert by 99.5RT featuring
Sandwich and surprise artists, meet-and-greet sessions with Assumption
professors, alumnae and student leaders and career path activities to
help them decide what course to pursue.
Assumption’s location in the heart of Makati City—a short walk
to the Makati Central Business District, where many of Assumption’s
professors are also practitioners—coupled with its high tech media
production, theatre and facilities provide students a first-rate
training ground to prepare for international careers in media,
marketing, advertising, corporate business, management, psychology,
human resource management, education and theater. Furthermore,
Assumption College has been cited by the Commission of Higher Education
(CHED) as one of the Top 10 Colleges in the Philippines.
At 7:00PM, also on September 26, Assumption invites the public
to the gala night of “The Mystery of Irma Vep,” a presentation by the
Marie Eugenie Theater of the Assumption (METTA) headed by Juilliard
outstanding alumna Ms. Ana Valdes-Lim. Renown actors Jon Santos and JV
Katipunan share the stage with Assumption students in this hilarious
comedy. This play is staged in tandem with a lecture demonstration by
Ana Valdes – Lim on “Rehearsal Techniques” for directors and
teachers.
