MAKATI CITY, PHILIPPINES - Demonstrating a shared commitment to institutional excellence and continuous quality improvement, Assumption College San Lorenzo (ACSL) and Miriam College (MC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on July 21, 2026, establishing a formal Quality Assurance Mentorship Partnership.
The partnership creates a collaborative framework between the Quality Assurance Offices of both institutions, focusing on mutual learning, sharing of best practices, benchmarking, and joint development in accreditation and institutional quality management systems.
The engagement is significant as ACSL and MC stand as the remaining women's institutions in the Consortium of Women's Colleges (CWC), continuing a long-standing tradition of empowering women through quality Catholic education.
As part of the visit, the MC QAO team led an onboarding session on internal quality assurance with the Higher Education Division's faculty and staff. This was followed by a courtesy call to ACSL President Sr. Irene Cecile I. Torres.
The MOU signing was led by ACSL College Dean Dr. Ma. Margarita M. Ladrido; ACSL Higher Education Division QAO Head Ms. Ana Lea R. Samin; and MC QAO Director Ms. Maria Louella Tampinco.
Through this collaboration, Assumption College San Lorenzo continues to raise its academic and operational standards to support its long-term strategic goals.
